AI for small business finances
We look forward to welcoming Professor Michael Dowling, Professor of Finance and AI at Dublin City University (DCU), who happens to also be an Ennis native, to give a hands-on, practical presentation to Ennis Chamber members, aimed at helping attendees understand how AI tools can provide actionable insights into their businesses and financials.
According to Professor Dowling, “Generative AI will transform what money looks like inside a company. Every financial number on a spreadsheet has always told a story, and now we can finally tell that story. Imagine if a list of transactions, or a set of mind-numbingly boring financial reconciliations, painted a picture of where we are at as a company and where we could go next? We would finally get richness back into our business understanding.”
It certainly sounds like a fascinating presentation, with the promise of a lively Q & A and follow on conversation.
