Statement from Chambers Ireland following announcement of the death of Des O’Malley
On behalf of the organisation, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive, Ian Talbot this week acknowledged the passing of Des O’Malley, saying,
“The sad death of Des O’Malley reminds us of what can be achieved when a person has the courage and vision to see a better future and the conviction to act towards it. His work in politics, particularly as Minister for Industry and Commerce, laid the foundations of an ambitious, open and international economy and reimagined our future. A true statesman in Irish history, it is with deep regret that we acknowledge his passing.”
