Shake off those winter blues with a fun night of bowling in support of Ennis- Phoenix Twinning programme.
This year’s ‘Ennis Business Bowling Championship’ at Planet Entertainment, Drumbiggle, takes place from 6pm on Thursday, January 31st. Teams of 4 will compete for the honour of lifting the AIB perpetual trophy.

Ennis – Phoenix Twinning Programme
This annual event provides an opportunity to enjoy a fun night out with workmates. All funds raised go to the Ennis – Phoenix Twinning initiative, started some thirty years ago by a group of Ennis and Clare natives, resident at that time in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ennis is one of 10 towns/cities around the world with whom Phoenix has formalised a ‘Sister City’ relationship. While Ennis is the smallest town on the programme, we have proved over the years to be a progressive and active participant.
Youth Ambassador Programme
One of the most popular components of the twinning initiative is the Youth Ambassador Programme, open to 4th Year/Transition Year Students from Ennis secondary schools.
Phoenician Youth Ambassadors travel to Ennis each June and live with Ennis families for three weeks, then in July it’s the turn of Ennis Youth Ambassadors to travel to Phoenix where they are home hosted.
